Cardamom Seed (Elettaria cardomomum, Amomum cardamomum) is the seed of the perennial tropical plant in the ginger (Zingiberaceae) family that is also known as Bai dou kou in the practice of Chinese Medicine. It is a drying, aromatic herb that has been used since ancient times to dispel dampness from the digestive tract and address a variety of digestive complaints such as:

• a feeling of heaviness or edema
• loose stools/diarrhea
• poor appetite
• nausea & vomiting
• acid reflux
• abdominal distention, gas, bloating, and pain
• chest fullness or an oppressive sensation in the chest

Cardamom is also useful to address food stagnation (i.e. food that is poorly digested) and as such is a great herb to use if you have, say, overeaten at a holiday dinner and have indigestion, belching, acid regurgitation, etc... This product is cardamom in liquid form, so you can use the dropper to dispense a little bit into a cup of water or tea (or just take it straight) and it can help alleviate digestive distress. Shake Well before each use. Maintenance Serving: Dissolve 1-2 droppers (1/2 tsp.) in warm water or juice 2-3 times daily. Augmented Serving: Take 1 full tsp. 2 to 3 times daily in warm water or juice or as directed by a qualified herbalist familiar with the use of Chinese herbs and formulas. To evaporate alcohol place in hot water. Amount: varies: 1 oz. = approximately 10 days supply at bottle dosage.
