Plum Flower - Emperor's Teapills - Tian Wang Bu Xin Wan:

Plum Flower Emperor's Teapills, or Tian Wang Bu Xin Wan is a classical Chinese Herbal Medicine formula most commonly used clinically in China to treat chronic insomnia. In terms of TCM is treats disturbed Shen presenting as insomnia, vivid dreaming that disturbs sleep, heart palpitations, anxiety, and restlessness. Other symptoms potentially addressed by this formula may include:

• fatigue
• irritability
• poor concentration
• night sweats
• constipation
• panic attacks
• phobias
• mouth and/or tongue ulcers

  Clinical Notes: Tian Wan Bu Xin Wan is appropriately used in cases of disturbed shen due to blood and/or yin deficiency (with heat signs). Persons with disturbed shen with full heat at the root will not benefit much from this formula.
