Plum Flower - Great Yang Restoration Teapills (Bu Yang Huan Wu Wan) is a Chinese Medicine formula that addresses Wei syndrome, which describe conditions of numbness and/or flaccid paralysis in which the limbs become unresponsive to voluntary motor control. This particular formula addresses post-stroke conditions with symptoms such as hemiplegia, paralysis, facial paralysis, numbness, and muscle atrophy. It can also be helpful for weak and flaccid muscles due to old age or after illness, for muscle atrophy conditions due to re-activated polio, and for other presentations of muscle weakness or numbness with qi deficiency at the root. Comprised mostly of Huang Qi (Astragulus), this formula also contains herbs which build and invigorate blood and circulate blood and qi through the channels and collaterals. Long-term use of this formula is usually required to achieve the desired results.
